Last year around the same time, the Block Association quietly started a grassroots movement toward getting the month of April recognized as BLACK FASHION MONTH! Why? Oh it's simple. We collectively felt that people of color (not just African-Americans) have contributed SO much to the industry of fashion that it was due time that the powers that be, who make "others" look good, get ...their just due.

Sat. April 23rd has been the elected date that the we will unite the Tri-states most stylist folks for the Block Association's 2nd annual FASHION 500 gala to celebrate our "fabulousness" as a culture. Can we get much higher? Hell YES! Here's the details.
